San Antonio, TX – HonorBib™ LLC, provider of customized photo back bibs for runners and walkers, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® today announced the offering of HonorBibs™ to all participants of the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio Marathon & ½ Marathon benefiting Susan G. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and HonorBibs provide marathon participants a caring and unique way to honor those who have been affected by the disease. HonorBibs are $10 each and 25% (or $2.50) from the sale of each Komen branded HonorBib is donated directly to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to help save lives and end breast cancer forever.
Race participants can visit www.HonorBib.com to select a beautiful and colorful template with the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio logo, or one with a Susan G. Komen Marathon for the Cure® logo if you are a member of the Marathon for the Cure® team. Upload your photo, write your personalized message, and select either seed paper or Tyvek®, a waterproof and tear-proof material. After the event, soak your seed paper HonorBib in water for 24 hours and then plant in an outside garden and wildflowers will grow.
“We are thrilled that HonorBib LLC has chosen to launch HonorBibs at Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio, and it’s another great way for participants to join in the fight against breast cancer,” said Dave Hussa, director of charity relations for Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio. “HonorBibs offer runners encouragement and support with a photo of their loved one with them throughout the entire race. It’s just one more spectacular element of Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio that will help inspire them to the finish.”
HonorBibs do not contain a race number and are meant to be worn on the back of your shirt. They are shipped directly to you for your event and are not distributed in any race packets. HonorBibs are great for teams and supporters, and can also be used for scrapbooking or framing. Order your HonorBib by Oct. 29 with free ground shipping, or by Nov. 5 with expedited shipping, to receive it prior to Rock ‘n’ Roll San Antonio.
“Many participants choose to run with a Tyvek® HonorBib,” said Alexandre Garrett, president and founder of HonorBib. “Then they plant an identical seed paper HonorBib to have a lasting memory and honor those they love long after the race.”
