Official 2011 Chicago Course Cut Offs and Time Limits

The official course time limit for the XSport Fitness® Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon benefiting the American Cancer Society® is 3:30 hours. Cut off points will be enforced to ensure that the roads reopen at the published times. The time and location is as follows:

*CUT OFF 1 – ADAMS ST/MORGAN ST: (Approx. mile 4.2 by 8:05 am) If you do not reach W Adams @ Morgan St. by 8:05 am we will require you to turn South on Morgan and rejoin the route at Jackson. You will turn East on Jackson and eliminate approximately 1.2 miles which correlates to 19 minutes.

*CUT OFF 2 – Cermak/MLK: (Approx. mile 10 by 9:38 am) If you do not reach Cermak @ Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. by 9:38 am we will require you to board a shuttle bus at this location. Halted runners will be presented with a finisher medal, fluids, and nutritional items and shuttled to the finish line area.

*CUT OFF 3 – 18th Drive/Lake Shore Drive Off Ramp: (Approx. mile 12 by 10:10 am) If you do not reach 18th Dr. @ Lake Shore Drive by 10:10 am we will require you to board a shuttle bus at this location. Halted runners will be shuttled just north of Roosevelt to finish the remaining section of the route.
