Course Cut Offs and Time Limits

IMPORTANT REMINDER to all Runners with a projected finishing time over 4 hours for the Half Marathon and 7 hours for the Marathon:

The TASK Rock ‘n’ Roll St. Louis Marathon & 1/2 Marathon benefiting the Quinn Family Charitable Foundation has strict course time limits per the rules and regulations of the City of St. Louis. The Marathon has a time limit of 7 hours. The ½ Marathon has a time limit of 4 hours.  The race will utilize a wave start, and the time limits will begin when the last runner crosses the start line.

We have implemented a unique cutoff system that will provide our runners who may be having a bit of a slower day with a couple of options.

Cutoff 1:  All Marathon participants must pass mile 12.8 by 10:46 am
Marathon Course Cut Off to be implemented at 18^th Street and Market.  Those marathon participants that do not make the turn from 18^th Street West onto Market St. by 10:46am will be instructed to continue on 18^th and finish the ½ Marathon Course. 

Cutoff 2: All runners must reach mile 13.1 on the MARATHON Route by 11:19 am
Marathon Course Cut Off to be implemented at Union Dr. and Theater Dr.  Those marathon participants that do not make the turn at Union Dr in Forest Park will be instructed to turn West onto Theater Dr.  They will be allow to continue on the marathon route but will cut off approximately 3.1 miles.

If you are falling behind pace prior to these cutoff locations, you will be asked to get in the tail vehicle and be transported to the cutoff locations so the roads may be reopened in a timely fashion.
