Running for Someone..or Some Thing Else

We run for fitness, for fun and many times out of sheer necessity. Whether you are a seasoned marathoner or are breaking in your first pair of running shoes, every runner has their own reason to run. While it is one of the most natural, cheapest and easiest exercises to do, it can also be one of the most meaningful.

While completing a race at any distance is an accomplishment, many runners do it in the hopes of helping someone less fortunate. In races across the globe, runners dedicate their training and race day towards a charitable organization, in an effort to raise money for a cause they hold so dear. From autism to veterans, the number of charitable endurance training programs is endless.

Here at Rock ‘n’ Roll, our charity partners are an integral part of our race day experience. From large to small, our charity program boasts a wide variety a non-profit organizations, all of which contribute to the spirit and the energy on the course. With singlets, banners, flags and signs, charity runners at our events are easy to spot. And even if you don’t run for a charity, running alongside these dedicated and selfless individuals is motivation in itself. With words of encouragement and contagious inspiration, charity runners are in a class of their own. When you have the experience of running for someone that has a terminal illness or is facing serious hardship, hitting the wall at mile 20 has a whole new perspective, making for a swift attitude change.

So when you’re looking for your next race on our Rock ‘n’ Roll website, check out our charity pages as well. You may just find the organization that can help make your race day experience go from good to inspirational. And if you are looking for fundraising ideas for your non-profit organization, a charity partnership with Rock ‘n’ Roll could be the boost you’re looking for. With benefits such as website marketing, event guide listings and race day announcements, we have helped hundreds of charities gain much needed exposure. If you would like additional information about our Official Charity program, please visit the charity page and take a look of some of the amazing charities we have been honored to partner with.
