Far East Movement to Headline Rock ‘n’ Roll Pasadena Post-Race Concert

Pasadena, CA – Jan. 16, 2013 –Kaiser Permanente Rock ‘n’ Roll Pasadena Half Marathon benefiting CureMito! today announced that Asian-American hip hop group Far East Movement will headline the finish line concert at the Rose Bowl on Sunday, February 17, following the 13.1 block party taking place throughout the streets of Pasadena.
Far East Movement will perform their chart-topping hits such as “Like a G6” and “Rocketeer,” among other popular songs. The group’s new album Dirty Bass encompasses a futuristic connection between dance, rap, and pop music. To date the album has generated the international hit singles “Live My Life” featuring Justin Bieber & Red Foo of LMFAO, and “Turn Up The Love” featuring Cover Drive.
“Far East Movement has some of the hottest hip hop songs on the airwaves,” said Shana Reed, Event Director. “They will bring the party atmosphere our runners deserve to celebrate the accomplishment of completing 13.1 or 3.1 miles. The Rose Bowl is a perfect finish line venue and I know our participants will be equally excited to hear Far East Movement’s chart topping singles.”
In addition to Far East Movement’s headlining performance, runners will also enjoy the sounds of live, local bands playing along the course as motivation and entertainment, along with enthusiastic cheerleaders and thousands of cheering spectators. Both races start and finish at the iconic Rose Bowl, and the half marathon course continues on to pass over the Colorado Bridge, through Old Town Pasadena and around the Brookside Golf Course. Runners will enjoy numerous scenic landmarks including the Tournament House, the Norton Simon Museum and more.
New this year, participants can sign up for the 3.1-mile Mini Marathon and receive the same perks as the half marathon runners including an official race tee, a finisher medal, one complimentary beer courtesy of Michelob Ultra, and access to the finish line concert.
