Official Statement Regarding the Boston Marathon Tragedy

“We were shocked and saddened to learn of the tragedy in Boston today. Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims, their families and all those affected. Out of respect to the Boston Marathon and the Boston Athletic Association, we will not be providing any additional comments at this time other than to say that we are working closely with our partners, both government agencies and law enforcement, to immediately review security protocol and safety procedures in light of the tragic events of the day. We will provide more details in the coming days as we engage in this critical dialogue with respective officials in each of our partner cities across the country.”

Runners Rock ‘n’ Roll on the Sand of South Beach

Costa Rican Olympian Cesar Lizano executed his race plan to perfection, winning the men’s race in dominant fashion this morning in 1:07:46. Lizano was Costa Rica’s lone marathon representative at the 2012 London Olympics, where he finished 65th overall in challenging conditions. The Miami race was the first step toward his goal of qualifying for the 2013 IAAF World Championships next August in Moscow, which he hopes to attain at the Chevron Houston Marathon in January.

Home Run: Interview With Ana Quinones

The Real Housewives Star is ready to salsa through her hometown of Miami.

A homegrown superstar will be running through the streets of Miami at the St. Jude Latin Music Miami Beach Half Marathon on Sunday. Ana Quinones is a cast member on the hit television show The Real Housewives of Miami on Bravo, currently in its second season. Quinones grew up in a Cuban household in sunny Miami. As a child, she acted as her mother’s apprentice in the kitchen and embraced cooking as her primary passion, which has helped her to author two bestselling cookbooks. We recently caught up with Quinones as she was making her final preparations to run on a two-person relay team in Sunday’s race.
