The second annual Rock ‘n’ Roll Portland Half Marathon came down to the wire, as Englishman Craig Hopkins and Aissa Dghoughi of Morocco were neck and neck through the final mile. Hopkins, 24, a University of Portland graduate, was able to pull ahead for the win in 1 hour, 7 minutes and 35 seconds with Dghoughi finishing two seconds back.

The City of Roses rolled out the welcome mat for 10,000 entrants visiting from 10 countries and 48 states with cool, cloudy conditions and no rain. Read Full StoryThe scenic half marathon course starts and finishes Downtown adjacent to Waterfront Park. After a short tour of Downtown, participants will enjoy the first of two bridge crossings as they head to beautiful east Portland. There they will experience an eclectic mix of Portland neighborhoods, beautiful Laurelhurst Park and a wonderful downhill finish heading back towards Downtown on Lloyd Blvd. After the final crossing on the iconic Steel Bridge, runners finish back on Naito Parkway at the corner of Salmon Street.
