Each Team V member raised a minimum of $500 for The V Foundation, with many going above and beyond and raising thousands individually. Net proceeds of funds raised by Team V runners will directly benefit cancer research and related programs. Bands that will play on course include Johnny Folsom 4, a Johnny Cash tribute band, the folk rock sounds of the String Peddlers, and Pork Chops and Ham Hocks, a popular local cover band. Tom Miller of the band Leeward Fate is familiar with the experience, having played on the course at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah Marathon & ½ Marathon the past 3 years. Leeward Fate will play at mile 13 on race day.
