Denver: Athletes for a Cure – The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF)

About Athletes for a Cure
Athletes for a Cure is a fundraising and awareness program of the Prostate Cancer Foundation. We help athletes of any skill and ability as they play, bike, run, race, compete or walk for a cure. Since our creation in 2006, Athletes for a Cure has raised nearly $4 million for life-saving and prostate cancer research. In 2012, AFAC has set an ambitious goal of raising over $1 million to fund research in early detection and screening for prostate cancer, as well as research regarding nutrition and exercise as they relate to the disease.
With teams of athletes at events all over North America, the hope is to raise awareness for prostate cancer and to fund research to help the hundreds of thousands of men diagnosed with the disease each year. Athletes are invited to become a part of the “sea of blue” by joining the Athletes for a Cure team at the 2012 Sports Authority® Rock ‘n’ Roll Denver™ Marathon & 1/2 Marathon benefiting the Prostate Cancer Foundation. We are offering entries to athletes that reach fundraising minimums as well as options for athletes looking to raise what they can. There is something for everyone! If you have any questions, please contact us via email at athletes@pcf.org or call us at 1.800.757.2873.
