How do I sign up to be a part of the pace team?

Stop by the pace team booth at the health & fitness expo. Find out which corral the pace leader(s) for your target time is assigned to. If needed, switch to that corral.

How do I find the pace leader on race day?

There will be 1-2 pace leaders per time lined up in the corrals with the rest of the runners. Leaders will be carrying bright signs denoting the time they are pacing. Find them and stick with them the whole way!

You are assigned to a race number and corral based on your projected finish time–the faster your time, the closer your corral will be to the start line (corral 1).

The start line corral system allows for a smooth race start for participants of varying levels. The goal is to corral participants with others who are running at a similar pace.

A wave start is implemented to enable a comfortable starting position for participants of all levels. When the gun fires, the first corral will be released and the rest of the participants will be held at the start line.

Every 1-2 minutes a corral will be released. This allows better spacing among participants when on the course.

**NOTE: The wave start is expected to take 90 minutes**

Gear check will be provided at the start line festival courtesy of our friends at UPS.

  • All participants will receive a gear check bag at the health & fitness expo (using this bag is not mandatory, but recommended)
  • Before 4:00 pm, drop off your gear check bag at the ups truck designated for your last name
  • After the race, the ups trucks will be located just outside the runner exit. Locate the same truck you dropped your bag off at to retrieve your items
  • Your bib is your ticket to receive your bag. No bib, no bag.

Please do not leave valuables, cash, or jewelry in your bag. The event is not responsible for any lost items.

Once you cross the finish line, you will enter the “secure zone”, a 0.4 mile long fenced off area designated for participants only.

In the secure zone you will receive your medal, water, refuel refreshments, and have your photo taken. Once you leave the secure zone you will not be allowed to re-enter.

Chronotrack systems will be used to record participants’ times at the start, splits along the course, and the finish. The Chronotrack system uses a disposable tag which allows you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.

You will receive the tag attached to your race number at the health & fitness expo. The tag will be labeled with a number matching your race number.

Prior to the race, you will need to remove the tag from your race number and attach it to your shoe, following the instructions provided on the tag.

Visit for more information.
