Bands on the Course
Music every mile makes up the heart and “sole” of this event. Live Providence bands will be performing a variety of music from alternative to classic rock, punk, funk and blues to jazz it up. Runners and spectators alike will be “Dancin’ in the Streets” to these mini-concerts.
If your band is interested in the opportunity to perform, please submit your materials by Friday, June 15. Be prepared to complete a contact information form and submit them with samples of your music and a publicity photo.

Spirit on the Course Competition
Local high school and middle school cheer clubs rocked the 2011 Rock ‘n’ Roll Providence 1/2 Marathon!

SCHEDULE OF RACES

- Time: 7:00am - 1/2 Marathon Wave Start
* The 1/2 Marathon Wheelchair start times are for racing wheelchairs ONLY. Participants racing in everyday wheelchairs will start at the regular start times and be assigned corrals based on their projected finish times. NO hand -cycles will be allowed.

Runners will enjoy scenic water views along the final mile of the course, as they head back downtown to the finish line and post-race concert on the State House grounds! Bands will be stationed at every mile to set the pace for a 13.1 block party.
