Organized groups of 10 or more are invited to take part in the Get Fit Challenge! Walkers and runners of all abilities are encouraged to form a team, get in shape, and rock the race from start to finish! Thirteen miles will fly by with teammates at your side.

Form a team in one of the following divisions:
- Club: Running, triathlon, biking, walking, surfing, swimming, etc.
- Corporate: Co-workers and business associates
- Corporate Small (99 or less employees)
- Corporate Medium (100-499 employees)
- Corporate Large (500+ employees)
Compete for the Bling!
Rock ‘n’ Roll Virginia Beach Half Marathon plaques will be awarded to the top 3 teams with greatest participation. The awards are mailed out 6 -8 weeks after the event.
Packet Pickup
All team members are required to pick up their own race number (photo ID required), timing tag, t-shirt and goodie bag at the Health & Fitness Expo.
Create a GET FIT Challenge Team
To create your GET FIT Challenge team, follow these simple steps:
- Designate a Team Captain
- Registration Instructions for GET FIT Team Captain
- Team Captain creates a team and can also register for the team at this time.
Team Captain receives immediate confirmation emails as a Team Leader and a Participant in the race - Get Fit Coordinator emails the Team Leader a Welcome Letter and establishes contact to provide important information and guidance leading up to race day.
- Team Captain can login and manage their team (https://www.raceit.com/Register/groups/login.aspx?event=5670) at any time to pull up team rosters and send out emails**
* A Team Captain can decide whether or not to password protect his/her team which means that in order for participants to register on that team they must enter this password.
Join an Existing GET FIT Challenge Team
- Download the 2012 GET FIT Participant Registration Instructions
- Register with your team
- GET FIT Challenge registration will officially close when online registration closes on August 28th. Individuals can not be added to a team, and will not be counted in the official GET FIT Challenge team results after this date.
Registered? Transfer to a GET FIT Team
- Fill out a transfer request form here and your name will be transferred to your selected team’s roster. Please allow 5-7 business days for your name to transfer onto your team roster officially, but don’t let that stop you from training and participating with your team un-officially.
- Transfers are not accepted after July 10th, 2012. The $10 discount will not be refunded to transferring participants.
