With over 1,200 positions available there is a spot for everyone, including teams, corporate groups, or just friends and family. Race Crew volunteers assist with nearly every aspect of the event, including the Health & Fitness Expo, Start Line, Finish Line, and the Water Stations along the course. Simply click either of the blue “Race Crew” buttons below to sign up online.

August 30, 31 & September 1 – Health and Fitness Expo

  • Location: Virginia Beach Convention Center
  • Thursday, August 30 – 1:00pm to 4:00pm
  • Friday, August 31 – 11:00am to 3:30pm | 2:30pm to 7:00pm (“all day” available)
  • Saturday, September 1 – 8:00am to 1:30pm | 12:30pm to 6:00pm (“all day” available)
Sunday, September 2 – Start Line

  • Location: Virginia Beach Convention Center
  • Time: 5:00am – 9:00am
 Sunday, September 2 – Finish Line

  • Location: Boardwalk @ 13th Street
  • Times: 6:00am – 1:00pm
  • Sunday, September 2 – Water Stations
    • Location: Varied along course
    • Times: Varied

The Medical Team is dedicated to providing rapid assessment and administering acute first aid services to event participants. The team is made up of volunteers from many medical institutions within the local community. Be a part of this vital group of volunteers!
